Rahmad Faiszal

Mr Rahmad Faiszal comes with 25 years of experience as a special advisor to both Indonesian government entities as well as private sector companies. He has advised private companies in Norway and Poland in relation to the implementation of the first floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) for the energy sector in Indonesia, the development of renewable-energy solar-panel and mini-hydropower plants, the adoption of marine aquaculture system, and also the implementation of joint ventures, trade, and investments between Indonesia and Poland in multiple sectors, including mining, energy, industrial equipment, service, and commodities.

He is currently working as Indonesian Senior Advisor & Chief Representative to the Hemla Group in Norway, Oslo and Jakarta by advising the group in relation to Indonesia and representing the group’s interests in negotiations with the Government of Indonesia for prospective ventures in the oil and gas sector.

He also has experience as a member of the Presidential Special Advisors to the President of the Republic of Indonesia under the Presidential Decree by advising the President in the planning and development of national strategy in adopting information systems and technology in the 21st century.  He also was an advisor to the Council of Military Procurements of the Indonesian Army Headquarters/Indonesian National Armed Forces Headquarters by advising the Council to lobby related parties to resolve the problems of the embargo on Indonesian military equipment.

Previously, he worked as a consultant for Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional (National Development Planning Agency) in Jakarta by advising the agency in planning the national energy strategy, including new and renewable energies and water sector, and also a lead consultant for several projects under the World Bank in Indonesia, mainly in infrastructures affairs, including electricity, telecommunications and information technology, energy, environment, and water and wastewater.
